Nina Yunovich, Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner and Health Coach

Forum Mentor and Teaching Assistant

I consider myself a tenured wellness coach with a specialization in holistic and functional medicine. I have been working in healthcare for close to 40 years. After attending medical school in Russia, I practiced pediatric medicine for 15 years until I immigrated to the United States, where I was a sleep study expert at Lake Forest Hospital for 23 years. After graduating from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2011, I began my wellness coaching practice and began training with the School of Applied Functional Medicine. I successfully received my AFMC certification from SAFM in 2017.

Anthony Llabres BSc, FDN-P, CFMP

Forum Mentor and Teaching Assistant

My passions involve physical fitness, ice hockey, reading, yard work and ofcourse serving my clients. The SAFM is my 5th training experience and I have thoroughly enjoyed the journey with Tracy and the staff. One thing you will learn quickly (skilled or beginner) is that you really don’t know as much as you thought you did! Never get too comfortable in your positions and always strive to dig deep and meet your clients where they are now! I found my Niche’ in hormones and LOVING IT!

Jodi Franklin, Functional Medicine Health Coach

Sales/Business Development Specialist and Teaching Assistant

I have been in the health and fitness industry for over 25 years. After managing and consulting for health clubs, teaching group fitness classes and owning a healthy cooking business, I decided to go back to school to study integrative nutrition and then applied functional medicine at SAFM.  I now work with clients to help them put their diseases into remission, and live vibrant, healthy lives.  With the clinical know-how that I have learned, I have built up a full practice in less than a year from graduating SAFM, all via referrals from satisfied clients and physician referrals.

Kasia Hrecka, PhD, FMC

Forum Mentor, Huddle Facilitator, and Teaching Assistant

I’m one of the SAFM ‘veterans’ and I attribute my new career path to this amazing school. Mentors and friends I found here, keep me going on this exciting journey of changing how we approach personal health and wellness. I’m passionate about the latest science ‘in action’, impacting our everyday lives right now, not in 20 years. I love the interconnectedness of the body and I made it my mission to support clients and practitioners learning about those concepts.
